Hurricane Falls Loop Trail
Located in the northern part of Georgia, the Tallulah Gorge State Park provides some amazing views and a unique experience.
The Tallulah River runs along the bottom of the gorge and creates a relaxing environment as you enjoy your hike.
If you enjoy natural waterfalls, there six of them throughout the park.
But the most exciting part of your 2.25-mile hike will be when you walk across a suspension bridge above Hurricane Falls!
Rabun Bald Summit
The Bartram Trail is 37 miles long but one of the best portions of this hike is to the summit of the Rabun Bald Mountain.
Your hike starts at the Beegum Gap and is 3-miles round trip, highlighted by the Rabun Bald Summit. This is the second-tallest mountain summit in Georgia!
Be sure to bring your camera! The summit gives you a gorgeous panoramic view of the surrounding Appalachian Mountains.
Indian Seats Trail
The Sawnee Mountain Preserve is home to one of the best four-mile hiking trails in Georgia.
Along your hike, take some time to stop and take in the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. A mountain range that begins in north Georgia and extends north up to Pennsylvania!
This trail is well-known for being mined by Native Americans many years ago. You can even see entrances to the gold mines that have now been closed with a gate!
Yonah Mountain Trail
The Yonah Mountain Trail is found in Helen, Georgia and is a unique 4.4-mile round trip hike.
Because the summit of Yonah Mountain is known for being a great place for backpack camping.
Along your way to the summit, there are great views of the rocky forest below. But be careful, this trail is fun but is considered moderately difficult because of its steep drop-offs and challenging terrain.
Fort Mountain Overlook Trail
The Fort Mountain Overlook Trail is another gem in north Georgia, located just south of the Tennessee state line.
While on your hike, you can take in the scenic views of the forest and rolling mountains below.
About 1.2 miles into your trip, you’ll come across a four-story tower that is truly unique. It was built in the 1930s and resembles a castle, adding a special touch to the summit of Fort Mountain’s summit.
